actual use for a electric supercharger!
ok, i was thinking of some actual uses of a electric supercharger (apart from a cheap salad shooter). Could it actually be used to vent hot air out of the engine bay through some SR gills?
anyway, i was looking for a cheap way to reduce engine temperature without having to buy a new hood or have mine molded(no shop around here).
I know it might not be as useful to N/A modders, but down in georgia we have some wicked hot summers.

A computer fan wouldn't be effective at all. The other problems with electric superchargers is they are somewhat parasitic.
I think it would be more effective to run some plastic tubing from the front of the car in to the engine compartment. This stuff is cheap and really easy to work with, plus you can block them off in the winter time.

the reason i was thinking about these electric supercharger fans, was because they can move alot more volume then a computer fan. Now they can't hold sh1t up to pressure, but they could probably move STP air pretty easily.

For the cost, those "electric supercharger/Turbocarger" fans don't move much air.
A small 7" electric fan from FAL or similar company should move at least 400 CFM, and do it QUIETLY. do you really wanna hear a hair dryer noise every time you start your car? Assuming Those electric SC/Turbo devices actually move 600 CFM....they sure as hell can't be quite about it.
Next point. There's no way to get "hot" engine air INTO the fender well for it to be vented out Z-3 Style gills. Not unless you want to cut your strut housings...
the guys in Korea prop up the rear of their hoods on washers. If you look, there is a rubber seal along the rear edge of the hood/body. They raise the rear of the hood about .5". so that air can flow out the top/back of the hood and up/over the windshield. The only problem with this is that your AC/heater/vent system takes air in between the hood and windshield. You'd end up getting a interior full of engine fumes. (hopefully, there arent much...but it's possible).
