Is there any need to wire up my smt6 for ignition timing if I'm only running 8 psi? The whole fuel system is modified (fpr, pump, injectors).

Noope, I'm at 14psi and stock timing. But I am at the point where it needs to be adjusted.

You should not need to pull timing with 8psi but it would be a good idea to use premium fuel (93 octane) and spark plugs that are two heat ranges cooler than stock just to be safe.

just running 12:1 with 93 octane is plenty protection against detonation at 8 pounds, although the plugs wont hurt

IF your doing the wiring anyway, its only a few more wires and itll save you from having to rip it apart later, if you wire it in, you can just leave the ignition map unaltered for now if you just dont want to mess with it.

Awesome. I was planning on using 93 octane gas and I have some ngk plugs, but I wasn't sure if it would be enough. Thanks guys.
