I'm running the 5th injector at the moment with no problems with it... course I'm only running 8 pounds unintercooled obviously.

It would be hard to get that high on a 5th I would believe... the Unichip's 5th injector is 680cc I believe... so it really can only provide like 150cc or so more fuel per cylinder (i.e bumping the stock injectors up to like 370s or so).

No.

The fifth injector doesnt have that kind of range.

Its not safe to boost this high with the fifth injector because its not an ideal fuelling technique, for a few reasons:

Main one being you would need a HUGE HUGE injector to cover the additional fuel needed by all cylinders, to make 300whp (330 @ flywheel) and using a BSFC of 0.60 with 4 injectors you would need about 550cc at 95% duty cycle, which is pretty much squeezing everything you can get out of those 550's.

so 550cc X 4 = 2200cc's

and 240 X 4 = 960 cc's

So that leaves 1240cc's to be made up with one injector.

And even if you grab a 1300cc injector, its still not a good idea, the car will run VERY rough under boost because of the sudden addition of a shit load of fuel.

And also It doesnt assure all the cylinders get the right or same amount of fuel. One cylinder may be getting too much fuel and another not enough. To compensate you end up adding much more fuel than you need to just to make sure each cylinder has enough fuel to ward off detonation, so this means one cylinder could have just enough fuel, and another could have WAY too much.

Also to answer your other question 4 injectors @ 290cc's @ .6 BSFC @ 95% duty will yield you 175 maybe 180hp

Side note, where in 'Cuse you live?

Ok see I was talking to alpine and they said bolt it on i could run 270whp no problem and they said he has one running 300whp with no problems anyone no where to get this second fuel rail setup at?Also they got a 2003 tiburon on there website that has dynoed at 226whp with the 5th injector.Im thinking of going with alpine but want around 270whp with out blowing my motor up.What ideas do you guys have to get this done?if I only get 180whp its not worth it at all.

yah, upper 200's low 300's on a 5th injector is just craziness , youd be rolling the dice with your engine, if anythings worth doing, its worth doing right fing02.gif

Dual rail setup can be purchased from denisst99 or T4turbotiburon, thats the best option.

The 5th injector set-up is touchy..... Def not worth trying to tune to 300whp at all. If you tune a 5th inj. set-up effectively and efficiently to 300whp, I'd like to see the charts, but I doubt it.

Heres the dual rail set up which is MUCH more efficient, MUCH easier to tune, MUCH safer, and you'll be able to tune for MUCH more power.
