Default Who has an aftermarket stage 2 or 3 clutch

I'm planning on going S/C and am planning out my tranny.

I'm just trying to decide on which clutch to put to handle the power, but remain comfortable for daily driving. Plus my wife has to drive the car too. Anyone with KORE's stage two have any problems with slipping around 200 hp? Does the stage 3 chatter at all after break in?

Thanks!

I have a Vitek Stage 3...and it's one bad *** little clutch. NO slippage..graps like a MOFO!! The spring hub, makes it almost feel like the stock one, just requires a little more pedal pressure....this clutch is good for 350HP. VERY MUCH RECOMMEND!!

I have a clutchmasters Stage 3 Carbon/Kevlar. No slipping problems yet with 180 WHP. It does "chatter" at light clutch engagment though.

i have www.performancestylingcentre.com 4puck brass button clutch. It is very grippy and a absolute delight to use when you race!
In traffic you will have to rev more to take off or you will get clutch shudder. The clutch is good for a easy 200hp@wheels. You wont be dissapointed!

funny part is the key, vitek and many other clutches made at the exact same place. Believe me i know. so the slipping thing has to be a seperate or limited issue. overall have had very few problems.

thanks

I have the SPEC stage 2 clutch, which I believe is the same as the Kore stage 2 unit and I have also had problems with slipping.

I'm running 200bhp @ f/w.

I have an RPW 4-puck cerametallic clutch, and it has "issues" with wanting to stick to everything. I think if you threw the clutch disc against the wall, it would actually stick there wink

This clutch is probably good for as much horsepower as the stock pressureplate can actually keep ahold of, which probably stops somewhere around 350-400 if I recall correctly.

So, for a hp level of about 180-260 the stock pressure is good with an aftermarket disc? If so what would be the reccomendation for a not so expensive Disc? dunno

Red- I've actually read previous posts about your clutch. No offense to your ride, but I have no intentions about following in your foot steps on that clutch. smile.gif

Dan- If I only plan on getting the S/C should I go with your stage 2 or 3 clutch. ( I sent you an email about the LSD labor along with a clutch and flywheel, but never got a reply) poke
