Default TWM short shifter

Just wondering how many out there are rocking a shorty. Doesn't have to be a TWM, just so happens that's what I put in about a month ago. It made me fall in love with driving my car all over again.

After:

Probably one of my favorite mods though having a sound system took priority. Still can't believe I drove it for 3 years w/o doing this.

I haven't put a short shifter into either of the Hyundais because I really like their shifters as-is.

Of course I've never driven one with a short shifter to compare though.

I dont have a short shifter yet, but I will be getting one soon. My friends all have them and yes they are a very nice addition to the car...

The best part are the aluminum bushings they send with the kit. Don't get me wrong, the reduced throw is nice to me, but the bushings steady the whole shift cage. You can actually do just the bushings for $30.

Really? I could definitely go for some aluminum bushings to replace the sloppy plastic ones.

I just might have to do that. Or get the short shifter and worst case scenario if I prefer the stock shifter I can keep the good bushings.

Yeah. Just the bushings would probably take you about 30min. Only because you need to remove the plastics. If it's shifter length you're concerned about, there are longer (or even adjustable) short throw shifters available.

Wonder how it compares to the B & M. huh.gif I know alot of people have that one, and its around $130-150 depending on the site you get it from.

I'm in the market for a SS, so may have to check out the TWM. smile.gif

B&M is the way to go if you don't want it to be too short. I got the TWM for $140 shipped. The bushings were part of the kit. As far as I know, TWM is the only company that includes the aluminum replacement bushings. But like I said before, you can get those seperately for $30.

TWM ftw. I've had it for 3 years now and I could NEVER go back to driving with a stock shifter.
