ok i currently got an 02 elantra gls auto and i want to know if someone could tell me an estimate on how much it would run me and were i would find a trans cause ive looked around on google and i only found on but it was really beat up

 

Well, I would look on http://www.car-part.com if I was trying to find a transmission.

You shouldn't pay over $600, and a good price is $300.

Visionz i looked at those and there all autos from what i can tell and i need a manual and idk how you found all them i even looked on ebay

 

You didn't say you wanted to do a manual swap, just a transmission swap which made us think you were replacing your auto with another auto.

I suggest against the auto to manual swap. It's a complicated PITA. The cheapest and easiest way to do the swap is to sell your automatic car and buy a manual car.

 

Alot of people have actually done the auto to manual swaps in the RD. Its a HUGE pain in the ass going by what everyone has expressed about it. If you do a search on this forum for manual swap, you'll find alot of threads about it. You'll need the ECU also when you do the swap because you're auto ECU wont work with a manual tranny.

Oh, and there are a TON of manual tranny's on ebay. I just looked. *lol*

 

yeah i just found a whole bunch of manual trans on car-parts.com and this is my second car so idc if its a pain me and my friends like to do this stuff for fun =]
