Default torque converter

if im goin turbo, what are the pluses and minuses of getting a better torque converter?

I'd say the only minuses of upgrading the torque converter is the cost!! It will definitely help you with the low end launch, I recommend it.

Torque converter upgrade

Pluses = better off the line start


Minuses = cost


Torque converter upgrade does nothing to strengthen the transmissions.


Look at a Torque converter upgrade as.

Putitng shorter gears in a manual, even thou you accel faster, it does not mean those gears can handle the power from a turbo.

Yeah, EdgeracingConverters is much cheaper than level 10. Its 374.50 plus shipping. Email Andre@edge.com for more info for your specific application, estimated time of delivery, etc. They did mine and I love my new pickup on the Tibby.
