Well, that's not the point. All we're saying is that it's not a "Beta" conversion. Right now it's only for Beta I's and won't work for Beta II's unless you have welding experience. Jeebus, we're just trying to feed Denis the correct info, not down the kit or anything. I was gonna buy it from him too until I just took off my trans on thursday and found i have the same problem as Dave after doing an 02 Elantra trans conversion years ago.
Thanks Jon. That's why I had posted those pics in Dens's forum on RDtib a while ago. You can say something is a complete conversion kit and that it works on the Beta2 without first checking it. lol
I'm sure someone could make a whole new piece that works without having to buy the two collars and rig them up, but who is willing to take the time to do that? If my SPEC Stage 5 fails....again...I'm probably going to convert to a full hydraulic TOB.

Great news for those of you who were smart enough to buy a standard Tiburon ACT kit. The discs are exactly the same! I have them both here, the Tiburon and Eclipse NT friction discs. Same spine depth and overall diameter. This means, if you already have the kit, all you need to buy is the Eclipse NT pressure plate for ~$250, then the conversion kit from Denis. Saves you $120.
Here is the conversion kit's collar over my 02 Elantra Transmission collar. Same problem as Dave, but I'll end up cutting and welding the new collar to the stock collar. My stock Beta 2 tranny collar has a bolt pattern of 3"x3"x2.75". So measure that when buying the kit to be sure.

How did you fab up a push conversion?
He welded up all the pieces and had the conversion going before anyone else. I asked him for pics years ago when he did it. I was gonna copy it until the Tib project stalled.

Beta II Push Clutch Conversion. thumbsup1.gif
Cut out collar, tacked it to the stock collar. Didn't want to melt it, so I just did a few spots instead of a long weld.
