IT IS NOT GL4 it is specifically made for GM SYNCROMESH applications but is safe for the "yellow gears" that said you really want to risk something that is not specified as GL4? also you can go to bobistheoilguy and look up comparisions on transoils recommend doing so before deciding which way to go.

Only use gear oils that are specified by the manufacturer of your car for use in your car.

In this case, the bottle will have "GL4" on it somewhere. If it doesn't, it is not compatible with your gearbox. Premature wear will occur, and no two ways about it.

Email them and ask. They will respond with "please do not use this in your trans". Stay with Redline, is awesome.. not sure how any oil could be more awesome as just being oil... other than it lasting a little longer. Sort of short life for gear oil IMO.

i really really recomend Redline MT-90, it is awesome

my trans was grinding when downshifting into 3rd gear and also i couldn't quick sh*t into 2nd gear at high revs, both symptoms were eliminated when i switched from mobil 1 synthetic to the MT-90

Just use MT-90. It works the best the synchros in our transmissions.
