Default need B&M pics

I just got a used B&M, but when installed, 1st and 2nd gear are unreachable with the shifter console cover on. With the console cover off, i can get into 1st, but when shifting into second the lever gets stuck against the plastic of the baseplate. Can anyone take some pics of their installation without the shifter console cover on?
Post em here, or email them to tonewerks@theavzone.com

THANKS!

You may have the centering spring installed incorrectly. there should be tension on both sides, keeping the shifter mechnism centered when in neutral.

nope, the unit was bent. here are some pics:

this is a pic i got sent to me from speedstate of a new shifter. On the used one that I have, you can even see what look like marks from a vice.
*sigh* I'll never waste my time buying used again....not worth the savings.

Wow... you buy that from someone on here?

That's pretty shitty, selling damaged goods.

I'd almost be afraid to know what someone did to bend a piece of metal that thick... eek!

Just FYI, I saw a post on here or on HP.com about someone who put a Talon/Eclipse shifter on their Tib and it was almost a direct fit... I think they had to drill one extra hole, or something...

Maybe you could look into one of those if you return the B&M or want a cheap alternative.

Ditto on what Stickshift said
Who sold it to you?
Also, your's is not a B&M, it's an OBX shifter, the B&M's are blue (like the one picture from Speedstate) OBX's are purple, like yours.
See if you can return it!

Here is that that topic on the talon shifter, courtesy of XtremePC:

I was the one who sold it to him. Apparently not noticing the bent shifter. As it would of went into the trash if I realized that. He is being paid back in full. No worry there. When I uninstalled it...nothing loked to be wrong with it. but then again, it was taken off in 2 pieces and not as a whole. didnt think the accident would of done that. Oh well, all is settled.

Fast.Shark: That's very honorable of you!

Where you holding on to the shifter during the impact of the crash?

How you feeling BTW?

I dont really know if I was holding it or not. But now looking at the shifter, I'd say yes. (Add another item to my list for the insurance claim) My neck and upper back is still sore. And I have a slight twitch in my left eye (happend about 50 times since the accident..now) I went to the doctor yesterday and he suggested a MRI. So tomorrow I will have that done. And then a follow up visit to my doctor on next Wednesday. All in all I fel so-so. Pissed/depressed alitle bit/hurting...but i walked away and the other driver also walked away. So I* guess all is ok.

*SOB still took my babe away
