Light weight flywheel?
Lightened flywheels are a good thing, unless you plan on doing a turbo later in life. If it's not too expensive and you have the ability to do it yourself, by all means go for it.
If you have the proper tools, it would likely take less than four hours to do the install.

The lightweight flywheel will allow the engine to slow down too much between shifts, causing you to lose boost.
My friend who has a modifed VW GTI has a lite flywheel in his car, it is weird to drive it at first. Within 2 seconds the RPMS drop to 1000.
The engine revs faster with a light weight flywheel, but the revs also drop faster...

Beware. The HDK flywheel is not alluminum!! I also had problems, it did not fit the crank! It is not the wieght they advertise. The high performance clutch works very well. I machined the original flywheel down to around 10-12 lbs and it works very well with my turbo engine, at least with this weight, the turbo engine picks up faster and with the alpine turbo which picks up really fast I do not feel there is any problems with boost loss, it maintains boost well even at 15psi.
