I will probably buy this soon. What is fundamentally wrong with this thing? What should I know about this LSD? Is it worth the cost?

Well you have to change your tranny oil every 5K i think

I know of one user who broke 2 axles with that differential

Its not a TRUE LSD

I think it blows personally

I would rather spend those 400 on something more constructive

There is a pending group buy on some quaffie LSD's... those suckers are bullet proof and are TRUE lsd's

Jaws I think you are mistaken. You are thinking the phantom grip.

That KAAZ is a true differential it uses clutchs.

Will it break axles? depend on how fast you go and how much power you have.

but yeah
it needs an oil change every 5k in race condition.

I bet it would last 7-10k miles in normal day to day driving.

Ordered it! But a while after I've ordered it, I went back to KORE and found no listing for it.

Hmmmm i thought onpol had the KAAZ... but now that i think about it... it was the phantom

Hey... i might consider this now

How long does one of these suckers last? Power rating would be around 250-300whp

Im guessing since its not a full drag tibby... i would be able to go about 10K without changing the gear oil

Your takes shaddoh?

400 is not that bad...

I talked to Kaaz at SEMA about the "supposed" 5K mile oil change. They said that it doesn't need to be changed that often at all.

Jaws, send me an e-mail...I might be able to get you a VERY good price on the LSD wink .

Does anyone have this installed?

I will use this in a drag racing application. How could this help me?

What kind of gear oil does it use?

Hi..it is first time to visit here..
Here is so many question about Hyundai parts...

I already use KAZZ LSD for Hyundai Tiburon.
Hyundai use roughly...4 kinds of manual transmission..

We can use same KAZZ LSD for Beta and Alpha transmission.
This transmission base is Mitsubishi do you can use Mitsubishi LSD for this car.

Your Elantra is Beta mission.
So you can use KAZZ.. but it needs some modify to install.
Diff case is a little different
so...we some time asked KAZZ to modify it firsttime but nowdays we modify it in Korea.

Of course you must use LSD oil. this LSD is multi clutch type.
And..this LSD doesn't support speed sensor so speed meter doesn't work..
But your model (South Asia model, leaded fuel) doen't use Transmission speed sensor, so your speed meter will work.

You must know that...you want to lower your car,
you had better modify drive shaft.
If you install LSD and power up, you must..

What is a trasmission speed sensor? And my car runs on unleaded fuel. And I live in South-East Asia.

What year?

My speedometer wont work?
