Yeah, after paying someone else (like a damn fool) to fix it and going through several more rebuilds and whole new units, I just gave up and said it's time to swap to manual.
This spring/summer I'm going to shelf the Tib for a few weeks and finally get rid of that nasty old auto. I have been collecting the parts for the swap, and I'm going to do my brake upgrade and suspension mods at the same time.
What this forum needs is a list of the available mods for the Beta 1 and 2 transmissions.
We have the info overload for boosting and bulletproofing, but what about the trans? Someone put that together and sticky the bish!
I can has rep naou?

Here in Bulgaria almost all tiburons are grinding synchros...from 1-2 gear it grinds even if I drive slow!!! I'm about to change the clutch so what you guys will suggest me? Some say leave it like this, but I prefer to repair it if it's not too hard
Stocker may be right, but 90% of the tibbs I know are having issues with the gearbox and most of them are stock.
Some videos where you can hear the grinding noise

I don't know if you can get it over there, but if you can lay hands on some Redline MT-90 GL4 gear oil, you might try it. Many members have reported grinding goes away (probably temporarily) with Redline in the transaxle.

If I can get it I'll try it for sure I'm 99% sure that the noise is coming from the synchro, but a friend of mine told me that his tib is grinding also, but the noise is coming from the gearbox not like mine ( around the gear stick )?!?
