Default The difference between transmissions?

I blew up the manual trans in my 00' Elantra and I was wondering if there was any difference between my trans and the one in the 00'Tib. Is there any diffence in the gearing or anything else? I guess what I really want to know if there is anything to gain by using the other trans. Any info would be helpful, thanks.

Any differences would probably be limited to gear ratios. I imagine the Tib has shorter gearing for better acceleration, while your car probably has taller gearing for quieter cruising and better fuel economy.

They are the same in the 00 year.

some of the older elantras had a different final gear.

If you use the SEARCH random compiled a list of the different types of transmissions. but its very vague on the elantra side.

I guess I'll just stick to the Elantra trans. If I wasn't already spending so much on the repairs and upgrades I'm doing while I got this thing out, I'd jump all over that LSD group buy.

Thanks for the info
