Default Clutch Slip in Neutral?

Simple question - anyone know if there is clutch wear when resting your foot on the clutch while in neutral?

The voices say thrust bearings as well but don't quote them on it.

I would think a little. I doubt the pressure plate can fully disengage from the clutch.. so it and the flywheel would be rubbing against the clutch as it sits still. Even if slightly rubbing it may still wear it a bit, maybe. Like faith said, you are putting stress on the bearing that has to deal with one sitting still as the other spins. Letting the clutch out allows them to spin as one. Hell it might be better to let the input shaft spin around and throw oil at stuff in the trans.

Wait, I re-read the question and tonight I read it as 'with the foot sitting on the clutch pedal not pressing it' vs. last night I was thinking 'pushing the clutch in neutral'. If you are only RESTING your foot on the pedal and not pressing the pedal enough to actuate the slave cylinder, there will be no appreciable wear anywhere in the clutch system.
