Default Clutch Change

Does anyone have the procedure to changing the clutch and flywheel on a 2001 tibby...

or even a repair manual (instructions are always best)..

or am i running my self up sht's creek and should take it to a mechanic to do...

hmm... sounds a little complicated... but sounds doable... ; )


random, do you know generally how long it would take for a clutch change?

im just tryin to work out the costs cuz im gonna have to buy the jacks and lifts and also floor mat(or what ever you call it that you work on)

I did my Accent GT in about 8 hrs. That's if you know what your doing. I didn't need any special tools or lifts. Just be careful when lining up the transmission to put it on. Damn thing was giving me trouble trying to line it up.

I've done it twice.

Once to put in the stock clutch again. And once to put in the clutchmasters stage 3.

Clutch change took about four hours for myself and Joel, except for the stupid throwout bearing that I screwed up rolleyes.gif

The absolute hardest part is resplining the tranny. You have to wiggle and shake and move and beat and cuss and spit and kick and bite and drink and cuss more and bleed and drink more... You get the idea. wink.gif

one question tho.. i was just lookin at the Kore site and they have a stage 3 clutch there... is that worth it?

i know im probally buggin you guys to death... im sorry bout that.. but i cant find too much for tibby's so i just wanna make sure im doin the right thing

what does the kore clutch come with?

i wanna do flywheel and clutch ..
