Do you guys think painting rims to match the color of the car is too much or does it look ok? I was thinking spraying my rims cobalt blue but thinking it will look pretty bad.
You could always try and plasti-dip them. Don't know if they have cobalt blue, but at least any darker blue would help you decide if you like them or not. Personally I like my rims either silver or black. But that could be because they are easier for me to keep clean.

But in all seriousness, a color match wheel CAN look good if, and only if, its proper color match. Only way to really do the job right is to get a pint (should be more that enough for 4 wheels) of the correct color per manufacturer color code and an air gun. If you're off even in the sightless it'll look like total crap.
I used to have paint matched rims and loved it!
