Default Snow tires are on...no more spirited driving

Sadly, I swapped a set of snow tires onto my car yesterday. This is my first year with the tib in the snow so I know it has to be done for the coming weather. Going from 205/40/17 summer performance tires to dedicated 195/55/15 winter snow tires and stock rims is going to take some getting used to. At least it'll make me appreciate the enhanced handling offered by my summer tires once the weather turns nice again.

Anyone else swap to their winter set yet? Do you ever find yourself forgetting you don't have all that extra grip?

I never bothered swapping to snow tires, I just drove for the weather.

I ran around an entire Michigan winter (usually around 6" of snow) in a turbocharged tiburon with the following tires, and never got into an accident or close to it. You just have to drive more carefully.

Never got in a wreck my self... Yet first snow fall of the season some as hole in a 4x4 totaled my wifes car and put her in the hospital... So... I got that to deal with now.. first snow fall of the season lol.. Most people out here are military can havent seen snow or ice... Which means if it snows... safest place to be is in your house!!! lol

^^wow that sucks, hope she's ok.

I'm with them,i ran my 205/40/17's half tread through the snow a few times last year. Normally let the car sit for the winter, but the beater was down.

The only problem i had was snow freezing to the inside of my wheels cause they have somewhat narrow spokes. It would throw the wheels completely off balance and shake terribly on the highway. I even pulled over one day when it was really bad and scraped it all out because i thought the car was going to fall apart lol.
