I recently bought some new rims that are uni-lug. They are the 4x100,114.3 bolt sizes. I totally forgot to consider the captiver rotors and to my luck the front ones wouldnt bolt up due to the captive rotors. Duh. Well I really wanted them on the tibby so I got some 6 mm wheel spacers. After that was done, when I hit hard bumps, my tires will ram up into my fenders. This never really happened before so i figure this was caused by the spacers.
Now my options are to do the non-captive rotor swap or i could get the rims bored out out so that they will clear the rotor bolts. Do any of you guys have suggestions or have had this happen to you? This is really bugging me so any help would be appreciated. Oh, by the way, the rims are 17x7 with a 40mm offset. Im using 205/40/17 Kuhmo Ecsta Ast's on them too. Good tires btw. lol.

Dnt worry bro. i have had the same problem, wanted all sorts of rims but couldnt us them cause of the captive rotor sh@#. So what i did was i had bought some rims that i loved, whiched were the universal 4 lug and the for lug holes that were not used i got thoses drilled bigger and got the new rims to fit, if you need pics i can get them and show you how i did it. Hope this works for you all worth it at the end

I started to have that done too. But then decided to go against it. I had one wheel done, unfortunately the machine shop that did it still didnt bore the hole out right. lol. But yeah if you have some pics that would be great. Im iffy about the wheel spacers since they put more stress on the wheel bearings. Thanks for the help in advance.
I also tried the wheel spacers from MARTIN TIRE and they told me they would not work cause the lug nuts have to have a numerious rotations on the lug nut they wouldnt let me leave the shop like that so had to put the stocks back on and found a wheel shop to drills the holes bigger and man that was the best idea, cause if youve noticed if you get captive rims for the car they have the worst design
Its very hard to find the right size and length took me many trips to Car Quest and no dice so decided to drill the holes, hey look on the bright side at least if they still your rims they cant use them on any other car cause you already drilled out the other universal holes, and again i only drilled two rims you can do all for but i did just two
