My car is the opposite. When I back up, I don't hear a squeak until I hit the brakes, then it squeaks. Does that happen to anyone else? My sister has the same problem with her Tiburon as well so I don't know if it is a common problem or something I should take back up to the dealership.

I still need more detailed information to know how you re-produce the problem.

Does it only happen first thing in the morning or only after a LONG drive, or only after a drive where you work the car and breaks hard?

Does it happen when you apply the brakes, before you apply them, or after you apply them?

Which wheel does it happen to? Does it squeek only when you apply the break? only after, or only while the pedal is pressed down. Is it a constant squeek, or does it change pitch/frequeency with wheel speed or brake pedal pressure....

Please give me as much detail as possible, I want to be able you to be able to re-produce this 99 times out of 100.

I thought I wuz the only one with that problem. mine skeels all the time when I go slow and when I am on it. It is my front right wheel. it sounds Like it is dragging a little chain or something but it is Very F*cking LOUD and embarissing. I think it is a tattle tail. I think the car is saying something is missing. JUST MY OPINION. I am going to tak it to a brake place because if it stops when you touch the brakes its quite obvious something is wrong with the brakes. BUT I am thing about buying the big break systm form HDK instead of fixing the old brakes.

When cold...the brakes will squeak/slightly grind.

This is because we use semi-metalic brake pads. A switch to non-metalic, or a different brand of Semi-metalic break pads should solve that problem. I'm trying to figure out if that is what the guys above are complaining about...or if it is something else...
