Default Under Strut Bar

Does anyone has the under strut bar and what is the purpose of having it
Let say you've lowered it, put on the high speed rear strut bar from SR and anti-roll sway bars all that..Does this mean you could do a 90 degree turn at 50mph eek.gif hit the E-brake and not roll over or do a 3 wheel motion with out switches
Please explain this to me.

The lower bar in an engine brace, it stiffens the mounts ( it it is actually an engine brace ) and keeps the weight of the engine from making your roll more tetc etc. and the other question NO!!!! well I don't know really cause I can flip most any car at 40 mph ( have done it won't do it again )

You may not be able to 90deg turns at 50mph but you will handle better around curves and turns.

I used to have front and rear sway bars on my ride, but then took them off. Mainly because of the air suspension I have. If I kept them on, and did a little side to side action on my Tib, then umm...well...lets just say it probably wouldn't look like a tib anymore. rolleyes.gif It would be ripped to shreds. But when I DID have them on, they were mint! You could go around corners going pretty quick and the car stayed right on track.

Basically, if you plan on running alot of Auto Cross events, then they're great to have. Otherwise, if you just want something to stiffen up the suspension a little, then either get a good set of lowering springs, and/or get front and rear strut braces from Shark Racing. L8TR......

ok I am confussed here! Are you talkin about the under body SWAY bars, or the strut braces. If you are looking to swap out the underbody sway bar, in my opinion, you should just get the strut bars. It will help stiffen the body, so you can corner harder and faster. Now Intrax makes underbody sway bars, that are hollow tubes for weight, but like I said, I think it is a waste of money. You can spend $160 on Strut Braces and have a tight cornering car. I can pull of a 3 wheel turn at 45mph turning left at an intercetion. The strut braces work wonders for your manuverablilty and handling

Hm..looks like we are talking about different things here:
1)strut tower bar = strut bar = tower bar
2)swaybar = antiroll bar
3)under bar != strut bar != swaybar
4)lowering springs

I have 1), 2), 4) lets just say they all have different duties when you run through a corner in high speed.
1) you will feel less body flex as in twisting kinda flex and to prevent the struts structure from shifting at weight transfer through corners and hard stoppings. It will give you more accurate response for the steering and cornering.
2) you will feel less body roll to the side
3) not sure cause i doubt they have it for our car since the arms are bolt right onto the frame instead of something stick out from the frame like those on Hondas
4) you will feel less body vertical movement both to the side and front/rear (stopping and accelerating)

If you try to flip the stock tib, it's simple. Steer to one side at high speed as much as you can and when the body roll is so much that the tires are screaming, let go of the gas after you steer to the opposite side as fast and as much as you can. I am sure the car will flip. Oh, btw, don't do this if you really think you can flip it. wink.gif
