Im trying to put a set of BSA 259's on my 97 tib but when the shop that was going to put them on they seen 4 bolts around the wheel hub. They tried to take them out but all they would do would spin. The rims wont sit flush on the wheel hub but the rims fit fine over the studs. How can i get these rims to fit on the car????

 

Use spacers or convert your front brakes to a non-captive setup. Search for "captive rotor" in the search feature found at the upper right of your screen.

 

DO NOT use spacers.

you can always convert the hubs over the way described in the thread above.

The ONLY way to use spacers is if they are hub-centric spacers. 99.999% are not. The only Hub centric Spacers I know of are the units sold by H&R at $150 for a pair.

 

The parts needed for that conversion are not available here. I still neet to wait for the BBK.

 

Sure they are. Just head to your local junkyard. Grab the hub assembly from any 1999 or newer tiburon or elantra. Should only be about $40-$50 bucks per side, and you only need to do the fronts.

 

No there ain't. Probably brand new, but I need to go to a dealer, and they may not stock the parts because there was no 1999 Elantra/Coupe ever sold here. And there is no junkyard that has these parts here.

Anyway Random, I see what you mean. My new Slipstreams non't need any spacers to clear the captives. Don't worry. smile.gif Thanks for caring.

Light weight cheap wheels that work with captive setups! Very cool!
