ok so recently i heard screeching noise, faint but audible.
i thought it was brake pads, so i changed them.
then i upgraded my rims. noise isn't audible anymore.
BUT, the guy who bought my old rims said one of the rims was scratched all around from the inside.
What could have caused this? Would this be covered under powertrain warranty?
i don't want my new rims to scratch again! 02.gif

could have been a loose dust shield touching the back side of your rims. If you went to a +1 or +2 rim size change, I doubt it would touch the new rims.

^^^^ i actually thought of that, but my scratched rims were 17's and there's no way the dustpan could have scratched the rims on that place. scratch is found just below the border between tire and rim
