Problem With My Rear Brakes

ok, I've got rotorpro's rotor's all around and green stuff pads up front and hawk's in the back.
the fronts are working great and the rotor's are all nice and shiney.
the rears look kinda dull on the passenger side but on the drivers side they look scraped up.
i took apart the drivers side but the only problem was the metal particles in the hawks not wearing evenly so i sanded them a bit to even them out and put them back on.
anyways nothing changed the whirring noise is still there and gets worse when i brake. after further inspection i've noticed that both back brakes are doing this. do all hawk brakes do this or am i just having bad luck?? btw, these are the hawk pads available on tirerack.

What sort of noise are you getting? I recently put rotorpros rotors and Hawk pads on all 4 wheels, and I was getting some grinding/scraping from my right front wheel. I determined that the rotor shield was scraping on something, and bent it back a bit. The noise has gone away (for now).

when you say not wearing evenly, was the pad surface just a little rough, or was only part of the pad wearing? If it's only part of the pad, you might have caliper/caliper guide pin problems

odd... I am running Hawk Pads all the way around. All of my rotors are wearing evenly. Have you ever changed the brake fluid or the brake lines? If the calipers or the lines are internally gummed up, it can cause the brakes to function poorly or not at all.

yes there are shims, and a while back there was a problem with my proportioning valve which caused some issues with the back brakes. this has all happened since then. before i don't think the back brakes where hardling working at all. the passenger side ones definently weren't since there was NO fluid in that line.
mad, did your brakes start out noisey?? I've put on about 600-800 miles since i got the rear brakes working properly and this didn't start right away.
