Default Warning Questions...

Alright, I checked my warnings just now. A few I'd admit to. Yes, I double posted, fine with that. I went a little off-topic on a post, yes. I'll even go along with the obscenity thing (I thought it was gone, when it started not censoring I assumed it was removed). Two I have questions about.

Anti-Hyundai comments in a public forum. This kind of irks me. I don't remember stating anything "Anti-Hyundai" (ex. Hyundais suck). Is there anyway I can have a link to this "Anti-Hyundai" thing I've so-called said. Even then, I don't agree that this is an offence, but I'll play along.

And then there is this threatening/harassing another user/administrator. This is the one that bothers me. When did I do such a thing? I have nothing but respect for people around here. I know I haven't said anything to anyone that can be deemed threatening or harrassing.
--------
I didn't know where to put this, seemed like the only logical place. I just want to know what I did wrong so I don't do it again. I don't have any links to what I did wrong, so I obviously can't correct them.

dude. you haven't been warned yet. what your looking at is the distribution of the "points" given for each warning....

you'll realize the difference once you fvck up

You're looking in "warning types" section. look up one group and you'll see Viewing Warning Information For hamhead...

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (javageek)</div><div class='quotemain'>The only thing that is automatic is if it catches you posting obscenities.
Anything else is done by a moderator or admin.</div>
question already answered on the front page http://www.rdtiburon.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4997 wink1.gif

my fault, should have read the front page.

Now I want to ask staff, do we really need this? I feel like we are in army or jail. Everyone is afraid to make a move because it might be against rules, be disliked by a mod, or just annoy a mod when he/she is in the bad mood.

Obviously I can't change anything but I just want to know why we need this? is it that big of a deal if someone double posts or brakes some other rule? No one is perfect and we all brake rules and laws every single day of our lives, but does that mean that we should be punished for it?

Show me one person on this forum who hasn't broken a traffic law? Everyone speeds, not everyone stops at the stop sign, and 99.9% of the time we get away with it. So why shouldn't someone get away for double posting and saying a curse word? It's a world where we should enjoy ourself and not be afraid to get banned because most of us are enjoying this website and do not want to lose access to it.

So could one of the admins explain to me why it has to be so strict? and maybe reconsider this?

thanks

OP

Rules are good and consequences needed to maintain order...it would be choas with no structure. I personally think the admins do a good job here and Kit has been the only one warned..except for Hamheads double posting earlier...smile.gif
