This isn't only about you DTN.
I don't know of any parts you produced except the Angel eyes, and both my highs went out already (how about replying to my post in that thread instead?)

Not sure if this is what you're talking about, but they definitely need a logo, like for vendor status. It's always weird to see that RD logo on everyone else's, but the vendors are just blank.
Color-wise, I think a darker green would be pretty good. Neon green is too bright, forest green is a little dark. Something like the top middle color:

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (DTN @ Mar 7 2009, 06:47 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>I'm happy with the color scheme. I like blue. I sure don't want to be purple. I'd take rainbow, but not purple. Is it possible that premier members over 2,000 posts could request a color change from a supermod or admin, or is the only way to change all group colors?</div>

No, it is not possible. Yes, that's the only way.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (radu_rd2 @ Mar 7 2009, 07:07 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>The light green for vendors is really bad, at least with the blue skin. How about making vendors blue (the way premier members are now), and premier members just bold black (cause they're the closest thing to regular users)?</div>

Works fine for me, on the blue skin. We tried the bold black, it doesn't look that good.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (DTN @ Mar 7 2009, 07:22 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>^^ I paid money for blue thank you.

Howabout we make vendors black/bold because they are ACTUALLY the closest thing to a normal member. The only difference is RDT has given them a forum to sell their product. Sure, they moderate that forum.. A tab would suffice to identify them. Outside that forum, they are a typical user, do not get access to the premier members forum, and do not have a huge inbox.</div>

Actually, you are wrong DTN. Vendors are required to buy a premier membership, so they do get a bigger box.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (DTN @ Mar 7 2009, 07:47 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>^^ I produce parts more then any vendor.

Vendors retail parts. There's a difference. They buy the parts from a manufacturer with the intention of making a buck or two by jacking up the price. Vendors are just that, a vendor. Just like a vending machine.</div>

No, you don't. Stop posting in here DTN.

I agree, I'd like the little tab, but the person that made them all no longer comes to the site (Joshuwa). Our current techs have more important stuff to do, but we are kinda sitting where we were before, with nothing being fixed on the site.

We'll start looking for new techs I suppose, but I don't see anything good coming out of it.

I adusted the color to #4CC417, and it looks fine in both skins.

However, the blue for premier members and green for moderators look horrible on the black skin. I may adjust them a bit.

For future notice I used this page...

http://www.computerhope.com/htmcolor.htm

To pick out colors.

I moved this thread from the moderator area to let everyone know why colors had changed and who had been promoted or demoted. Please stop posting about the other colors.

Redz...take a look at the bottom of the forum at Hyundai Aftermarket when you get the chance. I have a legend put in place so the members know what the colors mean. You should do the same here, so it doesnt confuse people with what the different colors represent and mean. smile.gif

I would man, but I don't know how to fix anything on this site, otherwise I would have already. We need someone that can tech the site and spend a week or 2 fixing the problems that are piled up.

Redz...the legend is really easy. Here's how to do it:

- Log into your ACP
- Go to Look & Feel
- Click on the skin you want to edit and choose Edit Template HTML
- Click on Board Index
- Click on Active Users
- Under this piece of code:

<div class="thin">{$active['NAMES']}</div>

Create your Legend: (this is what I have on HA)

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Legend: [<span style='colorrange'>Admins</span>]&middot;[<span style='color:blue'>Super Mods</span>]&middot;[Forum Specific Mods]&middot;
[<span style='color:#FF00FF'>Bytch Factor Mods</span>]&middot;
[<span style='color:#C00000'>Chef Mods</span>]&middot;[<span style='color:green'>Welcome Committee</span>]&middot;[<span style='color:#0068CF'>Members</span>]

</div>

- Click Save Template Bit, and you're good to go! Do the same with any other skins you have built in. smile.gif

I didnt know where to put this, so this seemed right..

Not a big issue but the the legend dosent match some of the user names.

ex.. Supercow and visionz are bold and that dosent match the legend.

Told you not a big issue. tongue.gif

Yeah...who ever made the pink switch on April Fools Day messed it up a little, and without spending some time to try and figure out what happened, the Forum Tech colors will have to stay like that for the time being. smile.gif
