Well.. Kind of like the shoutbox... I was thinking about maybe an actual chat room. somewhere people can come in and actually talk with one another. Human interaction is a good thing

Anyways, I was just messing around on Teamspeak(TS) going in random public rooms and thought it would be cool to be able to talk to some of the rdt members. I talk to a few already when we play on xbox but I don't do that too often. It doesn't have to be TS or even "have to be" for that matter.

There are other programs like ventrillo which was made for the deaf and skype. I searched Teamspeak and ventrillo and got nothing so I don't believe this has been suggested in a thread before. If you guys are interested we could set up a temporary server in TS or ventrillo with someone that always has their computer on and if it works out maybe add it onto the sites server?

What do you guys think. I just think it would be fun to actually hear the people telling you you are a moron ;P

vent has a limit to like 8 people on at a time.

Does any one know about teamspeak?

does anyone use a voice based system anywhere else? aim or skype might be the best option. I could at least setup irc or something like that.

I was pretty sure that TS had a cost associated with it...

and I'm surprised to hear that VENT has a limit of 8... I'll verify that.

When I'm on TS tonight, I'll ask around for pricing and limits.

I never used either. But I know my brother did. I'll ask him when I get out of work.

When ever I played I always used steams built in talk function

TS has been free. The only thing I can think of you may have to pay for would be a dedicated server to put the Teamspeak server on but rdt already has that.

When we ran it for some of our clans back in the day we never had to pay. Just download and put it on your site.

vent is max of 8 (on the freebie) unless you have a license and they won't sell to just anyone. you have to be putting up a server hosting tons and tons of accounts.
