On a WV forum we have a site arcade with a bunch of stupid little games that are hosted for free on the internet and the scores are ranked (for the site) so theres a bunch of competition.
I'm not sure if you can see it if you're not a member but here's a link to what I'm talking about.

Not sure if you all would be up for that but it's a great way to get some fun competitiveness and spend some time on the site!

HA.com also has this feature and it's pretty cool, but this is the only forum I have ever seen that is more knowledge-based whereas other sites seem to have more wasteful threads and attractions. We also have a pretty active shoutbox which I have not seen on many other forums. They may have a shoutbox, but no one shouts.

We used to have an arcade, didn't last for long through. Could we put it back? Yes. Will it have problems everytime the site is updated? Most likely.
It's up to Java and Supercow.

Forget the arcade, we could use the Army system. I'd like to see just one single site-wide game in which everyone participates. I liked the army system for just that reason.

I'm just saying an official site game to unite everyone in the same activity. Not necessarilly the Army System, but any site-wide mmorpg. Arcades are kinda phony and overplayed.

HyundaiAftermarket.ORG has an arcade, as does GenesisBK.com
Army was addictive, and there was a potential for cheating. It also caused WAY too much strain on our servers and bandwidth was easily exceeded.

Thanks majik and capn tibs. I have over 60 games in the arcade at HA.org and I add more and more each week. I'm on a dedicated server for hosting, so theres no strain or slow downs. We have tournaments and stuff as well on a monthly basis with prizes to those who win. If you're bored, its a great way to kill time. smile.gif
