I vote for whay you see is what you send. If the seller is woried about the 3%, it is their responsibility to add it to their asking price. They should not be allowed to say "I want this much + 3% for paypal fees".
If course, the exceptions are OBO (offer includes exactally what will be sent), and + shipping (shipping includes exactally what will be sent).
Not to beat a dead horse here, but I feel standardized pricing like this will be bennificial.

I agree.
Anyone else?
Faith, it doesn't matter if you send 2 or 3 payments, 3% of a set amount is 3%.
LOL

Yea I agree that it should just be a written rule that it's up to the seller to include the 3% paypal cost in the price asked if they want it...i just asked about this in the goodridge gb thread haha

3% of 200 is 6.
3% of 100 is 3. 3 100 dollar payments wil equal the single 200 dollar payment.</div>
Actually 2 100 dollar payments equals 200
anyway ya the price in the thread should be exactly what you pay. ill add the 3% a lot of times just to be nice but i know I dont really have to. Id post it in the rules

3% fees aren't taken out unless a PayPal member is a "premier" member or "advanced" member or whatever they call it...
what it means is if you (the person w/ the PayPal account) can take payments via Credit Card, then you don't pay a fee. its only if your account is set up to accept Credit Card payments. Some people can screw people over w/ the 3% fee if they don't have such an account..
ultimately, i'd like it to be up to the seller to put it in writing in the for sale thread that they want the 3%. otherwise, the price you see is the price you pay

what im sayin is ok i send you 100 bux
you want me to send you anther payment to cover paypal which would be 3 bux
if i send you another payment of 3 bux
you would get taxed another 3% thus meaning you just lost 10 cents or so
its a never ending cycle

... Silly bastard Faith.
Dude, 3% of $103 is 3% of $103.
Doesn't matter if you pay in 2 payments or 15.
Look.
$100 - 3% = $97
$3 - 3% = $2.91
Total of $99.91
$103 - 3% = $99.91
Do it in the calculator. You'll get the same.
