maybe its just me, but it seems like there is something wrong with the search. ill try to get it to only find topics in one forum, but that filter wont work at all.

even on the old site it seemed to work like ass. id search for a popular word and i would find like 2 matches. for example, try searching for majiktib's DIY clear corner little write up. you wont find it, or atleast i didnt even after a half hour of looking.

ditto, what wonder if there is an update for phpbb...

edit: 2.0.10 is out, we are using 2.0.7 - looks like maybe an update would do the trick??

double edit: cpg-nuke 8.2 b is out, maybe that would lead a helping hand. laugh.gif

We are running the newest CPG-Nuke, that's what caused some of the problems. They will be releasing 8.3 soon and that is supposed to fix the problems. I have tonight off so I may spend some time tracking down bugs.

The problem with the search feature is that the one ON THE HOME PAGE does not link to the one at the top of the forums.

Someone was searching for "fenders" from the home page search.... 0 results.

Search the exact same word from the FORUM search button, and guess what....at the time it gave 74 results.

We really need to have those two buttons linked together so that you can search the forums from the home page.

I stole this from myself at the request of REDZ. ;-)

Ahhhhh, I see now. The one on the front searches through the articles and reviews.

well even when you search in the forums the restrictions don't work. (like say if you were searching the for sale) when you do a search for manifold in for sale it gives you manifold any where in the whole forum. I'm sure an update would fix it. but if cpg-nuke doesn't have one... 02.gif
