^^ Butters, MB, Regit, yourself... I've been saying I should do this for a year. I say it every time I see someone change their name. You told me to post a good reason, I posted 3. It's not like it's just some random guy who showed up and started posting, I've been here for a really long time and I really would like to change my name to DTN.

What do I have to do to get such a small favor?

Butters, MB, both were done without ANYONE asking it it should be done. I posted in the Moderators area that we do NOT do name changes upon request, so now everyone knows.

Ask any mod, it's there.

As for MY name change, I put a SPACE in my name, no effect to anyone here in any way at all.

I know who you are, and how long you've been a member, and yes, you posted reasons.

I'm sure they are good to you, and maybe a few other folks, but not to me.

SOCKS wanted his name changed, we won't change it. He can confirm that. Hell, SOCKS almost left the forums because we wouldn't change his old username.

Remember that?

Here's my reasons not to.

1. No need for it at all.
2. You've got almost 7000 posts as DrivingTibNaked. Everyone knows who DTN is, it's not confusing to anyone.
3. Most other Hyundai Community sites won't let you either. I went through some real hell to just get a space put in my name at the other sites.
4. You can copy and print your DIY's and writeups up and submit them that way for resume's and the like.
5. You never even hinted at it until Majik went on his name changing spree, which he was b****ed at about.
6. You'll be banned in about 6 months, so it won't matter anyways. drillsergeant.gif owned.gif
7. Chuck Norris doesn't get his name changed.
8. Usernames on the internet are dime a dozen, no one REALLY pays that much attention to them. I changed MINE so folks would say it correctly on Xbox Live, in person, and on the phone.
9. Your argument that you've matured and are leaving the military are invalid, as your maturity level is still shown here on the site daily.
10. Any use of these writeups for getting a job would probably be more harmful because of your horrible spelling and punctuation, and no one would even notice your username.
11. You don't need to work for any company that would NOT hire you because the word NAKED is in a username you use. If it was "I Masturbate Naked Children", then maybe.

I think that's enough for now. I've posted about name changing before, and the answer still stands.

Yes, I remember 01ImportShark.

Do I have to pull an 01ImportShark?

Be my guest, not a big loss, honestly, we have enough LED's here as it is.

You went and misread/misrepresented everything that I said above, so you know what?

You got your username change.

End of story.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (DrivingTibNaked @ Mar 2 2008, 10:52 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>and there was no need for your name change, but you wanted it.</div>

Yes, there was, but my name change was a space, not a total change of name. Yours would start new threads with folks wanting to know what DTN stood for, and your name is still posted in hundreds if not thousands of threads

Argument lost.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>My point exactally. It's not going to be confusing.</div>

My point proven. You are worried about your name being found with the word naked in it, but you type like that and have NO comprehension. You were worried about being taken SERIOUSLY here in your first post in this thread, but you never post seriously, and are almost always a jackass. You are worried about being trusted with a name like that, guess you should have thought of that before you signed up with that for a username.

Argument lost.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Acutally, I've posted it quite a few times in both member name change threads and the shoutbox. I can't seem to find any of them, but they are there.</div>

Sure they are. They just magically dissapeared. Whatever.

Argument lost.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Not MY username. People look at my username and giggle first thing.</div>

It's never made me giggle at all. Made me wonder if the leather stuck a lot, but that's it. It's a username. "Wellhung69" posting here wouldn't make me think he's got a big dong, it would make me think he's a f***ing retard for choosing that as a username.

Argument lost.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>I've never said anything about my maturity. I said I was leaving the military and will be looking for a new job. I don't like my current job in the Army.</div>

First time you've ever said anything on here about not liking your job or leaving it. You DID say stuff about maturity. "My username is not serious." "I want my username changed because I want to use this site in a resume". That's all about maturity.

Argument lost again.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>All they would be looking at is the fact that I know how to do it, and I can teach others. I don't believe spelling is a requirement to work in a custom shop.</div>

Exactly, and writing about doing something isn't doing it. You show up at a custom shop and show them these writeups, they'll laugh at you, they want to see what you can do. Hell, I could print yours off and go try to get a job with them and say that's me. Find me a shop that cares about what you've written online, I'll show you a brand new shop.

Argument lost.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Do I have to pull an 01ImportShark?</div>

No need. 20% warning left, you'll be gone soon enough to where it doesn't matter.
