I've tried to upload GIF file but I had an error message:

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Error, the emoticion you are to upload is not in the list of valid files, the allowed file types are .jpg, .<u>gif</u>, .jpeg.</div>

If GIF is allowed why it tells me that it's not allowed.
What's wrong?

Maybe because its an animated GIF? Does your computer have the necessary software to run animated GIFs? I keep trying to use animated GIFs for my avatar but when I upload them to RD it saves it as a JPEG. I'm assuming it's because the file is to big and it saves it as a JPEG to make the file size within the parameters of what is allowed.

Yes, I can view animated GIFs.

Yeah, it doesn't work for some reason.

I've told Java about it.

there's two ways to have avatars. to link it or upload it.

i think of you can host a gif file on your own, just link it.

other than that way it might be a problem that might have to be fixed.

thats what I was just about to say. there is a difference between GIF and gif. just change it to lower and try it. when your linking pics it makes a difference so i'm assuming to the software it's going to make a difference as well.

btw, as far as your browser know there is nothing different between an animated gif and a non animated gif. except the animated one's a little bigger. tongue.gif

This is a known issue with the emoticon upload portion of the store. I will get it working as soon as I can.
