Can everyone do us a favor and help us out?
When you are doing various things on the site, you'll notice that some stuff runs slower than others, and other things just hang for awhile.
Do this for us.
1. Use the site doing various things.
2. At the bottom of the page near the right, you'll see a couple of icons. One will say how many seconds it took for the page to load, the other is how many database queries your last action took.
3. Copy and paste that info into a post in this thread. Tell us what EXACTLY you were doing and clicked on to get your numbers.
For example.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>I had just clicked on New Topic, and this is my result.
0.0870 sec -- 8 queries</div>
Remember, you have to wait till the page finishes loading.

I went into the main panel of the Admin CP, no query count but the time was 0.23895.

I thought maybe shoutbox was adding queries slowing it down. The time is a bit longer and queries are the same but the page loaded up almost instantly, difnately noticeable with shoutbox disabled. I bet if we go in and purge the shoutbox archive everyone will notice a difference.

Is there a way that the shoutbox can be called up last in the site script? I don't mind having the shoutbox take alot of time to load, but if the entire page is waiting on the shoutbox to load, it pisses me off.

BUT... when replying to this thread, it loaded the shoutbox and "Poll Options" bar (and everything above it) quickly... then took 10 seconds before I saw the reply BOX display. Is it the emoticons on the REPLY that are causing it to take a while to load?
The shoutbox loads immediately for me. I'm wondering if it's the emoticons that are taking time... and if the shoutbox were to load AFTER everything else, instead of from TOP TO BOTTOM, you'll click in the reply box, then the entire page will shift down once the shoutbox loads.
