Well, because you may want a silver one, with one less port, and demand CnC'd stuff over cast.

i paid about 45$-50$ for mine and its CNC'd alum. and looks like this one with 3 holes.. you would NEVER EVVVVER need 4 holes.. lets take a look at things..

possible uses for holes..

oil temp sensor
oil pressure sensor
oil feed
...

yeah

and even with the cast one, you couldnt hook up a relocation using those holes, they are too small.

anyway, i would spent the extra $$ and get a CNC'd adapter ANY day of ANY week. much more accurate, and probably better quality.
