tibby01's glow needle kits
im in the process of making up two little kits for my glow needle DIY. both are blue, for now. they include the 3 plastic peices with the leds already melted into them, and the needles already in blue. you can check out my DIY to see what im talking about.
in one of the kits, the black cover of one of the needles is melted. dont really know how it happened. it still works fine though, just looks kinda funny.
im going to charge 50 dollars for the kit w/out the melted needle, and 45 for the one with the melted one.
i can include 6 quick squeeze on connectors for 3 dollars extra, so you can just squeeze the things right on wires. pretty much, if you can install el gauges, you will have no trouble installing these. you can also check on the DIY for alternate ways to power.
once you send back the stock peices you take out, i will refund you 10 dollars. and if you want a pic of the wacked out needle, ill get one up soon.
uh, yeah, i think thats all.

done with both kits.
so, one set is for people with el gauges, the other is for anything. make note though, that i have not tried this on a stock cluster, and it might mess with the way the light is spread out behind the faces. i have however used leds with this, and all that melting did almost nothing to the brightness of the stock faces with leds.

Ok, what thingy got cut off and "i have not tried this on a stock cluster", "did almost nothing to the brightness of the stock faces with leds". You lost me there.....Sunday morning and pretty tired....help my brain and fill in the blanks for me.
from my DIY...
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (tibby01)</div><div class='quotemain'>7. the little "light deflector things" as i so deemed them earlier can be cut as long as you have el gauges, or are planning to do my tick mark led DIY later. if you have bulbs and you do this, it will prolly make the lighting really uneven. i wouldnt even try this with the stock bulbs though, because you are melting the clear plastic, and it might mess up the reflection system in these clear plastic peices. anywho, yeah, cut these things off...
</div>
what i meant was that i havent tried this on a cluster that has to use bulbs to light up the faces. ive only tried it with el gauges, which make it so that you can take out the stock light bulbs back there. the thing is, that i have to melt things into the peices that defract light everywhere, so it might screw with stock faces a little.
if you have el gauges, you will be perfectly fine. i havent tried it with stock faces, but im sure it wouldnt interefere to much.
