What do you mean about the flat look?

I want these done, but want it to be easy enough on you guys for sure. Hell, I'd take the one you have a pic of if I can get it, but if I can get what I REALLY want for a bit more, hell, I'll pay it.

Keep this discussion going, I don't want this one to die. Maybe a few "Paint" drawings would help?

I'm in no matter the price, but only for polished, and 6 hex bolts on top. Like Teflon said, I want it to look stock.

Perhaps the 6 bolts don't actually have to go through. Just chop off the threading, and just use the head, then paste em on somehow. But they'll still need the countersunk locations for them.

I'm out if you do 6 bolts, it may look like stock, but it won't line up with the holes underneath. No reason at all to drill 6 new holes when there are 4 there.

Like I showed in the above pics, 8 doesn't look that much different than 6, and will work perfectly.

Guys and gals, LOOK AT THE PICS.

Redz, it doesn't HAVE to line up with the bolts underneath. You can have 4 screw holes on the underside, and 6 countersunk holes on the top. Then all you do is cut the heads off the hex bolts, and glue 6 hex heads in those holes. Just use the proper glue and they'll stick fine.

I think we need to get a poll going on the front page, cause there's not enough people responding to this and I'm sure there's a lot more that would actually buy it. Need to get the word out.

So instead of having 8 holes, of which 4 would line up and all would go through, you want 10 holes, 4 for the OEM mounting screws from underneath and 6 fake hex heads on the top?

Dude, that's just retarded. Why put stuff on there that doesn't work or is fake?

8 holes, all the way through, we have to drill 4 holes in plastic, DONE.

Not to mention, it'll line up nicely, and there's no "gluing" anything.

All you'd need to send is the finished ring, with 8 countersunk holes, 8 cap hex screws, and 8 nuts. This way he doesn't have to make any threaded holes at all.

Wouldn't tapping threads take a lot longer and make these cost more?

Ok here is some news on these rings;
1)The oem ring is not flat,it actually is crescent and deformed from a real 360 degree circle.
2)These new rings are flat w/ a 360 degree ring.It will fit in the cowl with one exception,on the drivers side the ring sits higher up by about 2mm as the cowl has a uniformed shape,.It basically droops down from the top of the ring to the bottom of the ring towards the driver.
3)The ring fits as you see it and you can barely tell of this offset.
4)Just in case that some people have never taken there shifter apart, the bolt pattern is FAKE!The oem ring is mounted from the underside w/ 4 screws.
5)I actually took this project on cause I believe enough interest is out there
6)I need about 30 orders to cover the aluminum cost and the CAD/CNC design.
7)I'm only going to make these rings by custom orders only,so you can have almost any design you want.
8)I believe the most popular will be polished with 8 counter bored holes
9)I will foot the bill to make them and once I have them in my care I will send out the billing then once everthing is secured I will mail them out.
If I missed any other question then please just drop me a pm and I can see what I can do.Thanks again everybody for your interests.Larrs

straight up you'll never get 30 orders, especially not at that price. it's a decent price, mind you, but you wont get that kind of volume in this market with it.

Over time he will. This is the way making parts goes.

Larrs, when you are done and have them in hand, I'll send out a site email for you okay?

I'm sure he'll get those sales. Especially with a mass email. He could probably even sell them on ebay for people who aren't on the site.
