No, it's easy to install.
You take out the center console, flip it, look at the boot. There are about 4 to 6 screws holding a plastic bracket that the OEM boot is stapled to. Take it out. Take the staples off, take the boot off. Replace the boot with the new one and make sure it's at the right angle. Staple it back on if you want or just work with it till you can get the screws to hold it in place. Put everything back.
Easy.

Hey Redz, I'd love to get the cf black/cf orange boot, but I have a couple worries for my setup. I have one of the shortest shifters that I've seen on a tib. I worry that the boot may bunch up too much and have a "foreskin" effect...

also, I have the Ichibahn leather knob, and wonder how close the orange that you have will match the orange of the knob. It would kinda goofy with too many different oranges in the cabin. How close do the colors look to you?

I know the two oranges look different in these two pics, my dash is closer to the color orange of the knob... the lighting in top picture sucks.

The knob looks like the exact right color.
If you want, if your OEM boot is trimmed the way you want, just send me that and we will do it up for you.

Well, I haven't cut it down, it's just thin enough (read "cheap" oem pleather) to tuck without bunching up. Hold onto a piece of that orange and black CF stuff, and I'll get back to you in a couple weeks. I'm saving up for my May wedding (in vegas), and if the fiance sees me spending money on the car more than every couple weeks, it won't be pretty! wink1.gif
