:( prob gonna sell it all.
Keep looking around, you're bound to find something better, hopefully. Might want to ask about ways to lower your premium like having an alarm, fireextinguisher, attending defensive driving class and getting married..j/k
go through an insurance agent, dont call the companies themselves, I called progressive myself and they qouted me at 2400 per 6 months, like 400 a month, then Icalled a local insurace agency, went down and sat down with them, gave them all my info, and they gave me a qoute of 165 a month !! I was like sweet !!!! FULL COVERAGE with glass. So as Im signing the papers, I asked who is the insurance through, and guess what she said, ?? progressive.

Okay man, I'll be waiting.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>I called progressive and got the lowest quote i could find. $486 a month.</div>
$700 a month for 12 months is $8400, the price of a car. Jesus. Doode, who all have you called? Progressive and Geico did the best for me. Tell them you have headlights that are always on, and auto seatbelts. That you are a student and stuff, get all the discounts you can. Non smoker, ect.
$486 a month for 12 months is $5832. Not as bad, but still out there. I'd call, make sure you have all the info right, and get the BARE minimum for full coverage, and all the stuff I mentioned above.
How much you owe on the car?
And I agree with Loneshark, check all the small name local places, you'd be suprised what some of them can do.

don't forget, he's in Canada...
for some reason, the Tiburon is like the car w/ the highest insurance premiums. them canadian insurance companies have something against it..
that sucks that you may have to sell everything. 02.gif

Auctually he lives in Utica Michigan.....About a hour north of Detroit and most likely that is the reason he is going to pay so much. I used to live in Sterling Heights....next town over from Utica..... and I was paying almost $400 a month for my tib with the full coverage needed to cover my loan. When I moved to the other side of the state (Grand Rapids) my insurance rate was a third of what they were I now pay $94 a month with all of my modifications covered in full. Location can have as much of a impact as tickets or mods. I Also have no points on my record.
