Default Performance Thermostat

Now before anyone says anything I know people have previous feelings about Shark Racing. DO NOT bring that up again. This thread is to simply let everyone know of a new product.

Lets make this easy. You dont know what you are talking about plain and simple tongue.gif: . This replaces the actual thermostat duh. The speedchips are nothing more than a resistor.

Just to let everyone know. The stock Thermostat on the RD2's does not fully open up until 205 degrees F. This new one would be fully open at 155 degrees F. Thats a BIG different IMO. 50 degrees F is a big difference with you think about engine temps.

hmm sounds like a big difference. but how much more performance are we looking at.... a little of a decent amount..... i dunno what they actually do, so maybe someone could inform me smile.gif. i would figure something about getting more air in since the engine isnt as hot, colder air. just a guess though 02.gif.

the thermostat keeps the car in normal operating temperature range. so the car does not overheat. basically. it measures coolant temp.

as for performance, i doubt you would even notice any. this would be good for turbo applications where there is a buttload of heat. but this definately should help with egine longevity......
