Hey Redz,

I have no freaking idea what happened to the damn FEDEX. You are the second person already complaining about shipping. Spacticus' box was all torn up as well.

I put half a roll of tape on each freaking box and they still managed to rip them off.

I'm sorry, but it's totaly not my fault, I boxed everything nicely with lots of tape and those freaking morons decided to rip it apart. Brackets were a bit bent when they were on my car because I wanted them to be tight and you have to bend them a bit to make them go over the strut curve a bit; bar on the other hand was in perfect condition since it was in my trunk and nothing ever touched it. So, it's them who f**ked it up.

You can fail a claim with them and get all of your money back man.

Once again sorry for this crap man. I don't know who else to use for my shipping carrier because UPS sucks, so does FEDEX, and USPS overcharges for everything.

If anyone else has any problems please let me know.

Sorry again

OP

Wait a sec, since WHEN does tape on the OUTSIDE of a hand made box make up for SHITTY PACKAGING??? It's obvious that the holes in the box came from the bar and brackets banging around for 2000 miles in a Fedex Truck. PACKAGING inside would have kept that from happening.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>I'm sorry, but it's totaly not my fault, I boxed everything nicely with lots of tape and those freaking morons decided to rip it apart.</div>

Uhm, yes it is, you put NO foam, bubble wrap, peanuts, walmart bags, NOTHING inside it to keep it from moving or getting damaged. Don't blame Fedex. Wrapping 40 rolls of tape around a box does nothing to keep what's inside the box from MOVING. Goddamn cheapskate.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>So, it's them who f**ked it up.</div>

Again, the fact that you didn't bag up the seperate parts, wrap them in SOMETHING, even NEWSPAPER, is why they banged around and got loose.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>You can fail a claim with them and get all of your money back man.</div>

Great, this helps me alot. Now I've got to wait on Fedex because you can't pack.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>USPS overcharges for everything.</div>

UPS sucks balls, DHL sucks balls, Fedex is allright if you give them good stuff, USPS is the best. Where do they overcharge? I get charged about $5.25 for each shifter boot set I send out. Delivery confirmation, insurance, and 2 to 3 days to the address. Even FREE BOXES. How is that overcharging? For what you sent, it would have cost about 7 to 10 dollars to ship via Priority mail.

Well, if it will make you feel better I will say that it's my fault and I already said sorry so there is nothing else to say.

I hope everyone else gets their package normally.

thanks

well, i was told by my mother that the box didn't arrive to me all f'ed up and opened... however they did decide to leave the package outside during the remnants of hurricane Cindy. it was pouring all day, and they left it in the rain. my mailbox is big enough where it can fit in there, but nope, they left it in the rain...

they also put it on our side porch, where no one goes. it was found by my stepfather on accident... he kicked it.

they're genius's

edit one more thing... my passenger side corner either broke during shipping or was broke when it came off your car. you know the part that you screw in to hold it in place? its a small plastic bracket... yea, well that is broke off. so the only thing i have holding it in the car is the bulb harness and that small little nipple thing w/ the black bracket. tough to explain...

but i have to figure out a way to actually secure it to the car

Freaking morons. I would have told you that it was broken man and would have refunded you some money. It came off my car all in one piece and looked like new.

I put some padding inside your box and they still manages to f**k it up!
Jesus!

Let me know if I can do anything for you.

I need to find someone else to ship my stuff with.

I don't want to ship your wing with FEDEX, although they insure everything, that's the only good thing.

what's up with shipping these days?? when i got my wing from canada there was no bubble wrap, no newspapers nothing. and that was straight from a hyundai dealership in a hyundai box never opened. so it was shipped from korea to canada to tennessee and then to me. the wing was unscratched but the box had been cracked open. i'll bet someone wanted to see what was inside. but everything came in good condition and that was the important part. up until now i thought shipping companies took care of your packages. my rims got here with 4 heavy boxes that didn't have one scratch from florida. my AEM came from florida unscratched too...

my supercharger came in a box with everything from tape, bubble wrap and foam but the box but during shipping it had been pierced with 5 large holes and pierced the directions for the supercharger. it looked soo wierd it looked like some ninja tried to kill it!

box from the rotors came without a scratch from Cali...

so up until now, i know that the most of the time you can trust these shipping companies. but other times it's just their fault and you can't do anything about it. i would take precautions though like newspapers.

one would think the companies take good care of the boxes but they get sauced up in the sorting process and loaders just throw them onto trucks.

my best guess, REDZ, would be that when you have something shipped from the Western United States, chances are they will do their best to keep your box intact. but knowing what I know about Maryland, since it's Maryland/D.C. and the people here might just urinate on packages, chances are the boxes will come stained.

on the other hand, OP some foamies would be nice. i have some if you want smile.gif

The plain fact is though, it's not the shipping companies fault.

All that was done was a LARGE flat piece of cardboard was obtained, it was folded in half and the strut bar was put in like a sandwitch, and the box was taped to death. No wrap on the bar, none on the brackets, it was just all left to bang around for 2000 miles.

Walmart sells bubblewrap for cheap. So does Sams Club.

You can get peanuts for packing anywhere.

You can get cardboard and newspaper for FREE to wrap stuff in.

Some folks care about what they sell and ship.

Others don't give a f***.
