ok, up for grabs is a modded stock ECU. this was in t4turbotibs car for a while before he went standalone.. he said it worked great with the emanage.

anyway, the ECU is modded so if you hook up emanage or anything that can control ignition timing, it will over ride the stock ECU so you can adjust it for boost.

i never ended putting this in the car due to the fact im just going to stick around at 8-10psi.

this is a great option for those who dont wanna spend the money on a MSD DIS, and want a easy wire in hookup to mod the ignition timing..

im asking $60 shipped via paypal.

if your ready to pay, call dibs and ill give you my paypal addy.

Hello there socks,

I was wondering if this would be beneficial for my NA setup.

Would I need an E-Manage to control ignition timing?

well the way the ECU is modded, anything that wires into the ECU (piggyback) would be able to adjust the timing using this modded ECU. basically the way its wired, is hardwired into the internals so it can't be corrected..

t4turbotib has a thread in the DIY about this mod..

the ECU also has a fan hooked up to it for extra cooling of the ECU.

if you have any more questions let me know.

I would expect that the piggyback would have to be an smt-6 or the like that already has the ability to modify the timing?

If that is the case then what is the advantage to this ECU? Does the stocker normally permit adjustment of timing with a piggyback?

Thanks.

ECU is sold

to answer your question t, the piggybacks DO have the capability to adjust the Ignition timing, BUT they don't work with our ECU. for the SMT 6 you need a lil black box (denis makes em) to be able to adjust the timing. this ECU is hard wired so the it bypasses whatever it is that won't let the piggyback make adjustments.
