<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (RED ZMAN @ Feb 20 2008, 02:33 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Any time dawg. How much was it with shipping?</div>

170 shipped.
2 glass pipes,
upper and lower hoses,
LED attatchment, Tim recommended green, not sure if there is two LED for upper and lower hose,
and heat shrink connectors to connect the glass to the hose.

so you will need a heat gun or hair dryer to shrink the connectors to the hose and glass.

I may buy some steel braid, and put it over the hoses and then shrink wrap, like in the GK tiburon pictures.

Could you do the heat shrink with a lighter?

You can but dont. It will make it look funny because it wont heat and shrink evenly. On regular shrink tube for wires go ahead but not on something made for looks.

a little info...

I ordered my killerglass hoses and just so happened to be able to talk to the owner of the company since everyone was out to lunch(funny guy if i do say so myself).

I ordered mine with a red led in them and he told me for the best results in terms of lighting to use the toyota high performance antifreeze. just go get it at the toyota dealership, they will know what i am talking about is what he told me.

just a little fyi.

got my kit ! heres what you get ! Im happy, cant wait to do the install

it <u>doesn</u>'t come with hoses, you will need to cut your current hoses to size, and fit the glass in any position you like.

there is no room for error here, so measure twice, and cut once. I wonder how killerglass.com deals with mess-ups, I am known for messing up the first time and nailing it to perfection the second. hopefully they will send free replacement heat shrink if I screw up.

The glass is very fragile. Its not a sock resistant as I thought it would be or should be, which makes me think that installing the extra glass on the bottom hose may not be the wisest idea, for rocks and debris may shatter the glass if you autocross, rally, or have rocky roads in your area.

on a side note, is there any deals going on for those pretty blue samco hoses Ive seen ?

The glass is fragile? I thought I watched a video of a F150 running it over and nothing happening to it?...

Fragile? This is the toughest GLASS I've ever seen.

it's not the least bit fragile.

Look at the video I posted of them DRIVING NAILS WITH IT and driving over it with a Ford F150.

Running it over with the truck just "looks" impressive, I've had my foot run over by cars and trucks plenty of times (used to work at a car wash... it happens) it doesn't really put that much pressure down on that one wheel. Now driving a nail with it.... that's what is impressive and shows to me that the glass has some serious shock resistance

They both impress the shit out of me. Go try to run over a coke bottle with your car. It'll break.

or, for comparison, a thick pyrex dish.
