yeah you can, you just have to bypass something under the shifter i think...also you just have to remember not to have it in gear when parked to use the auto starter...that is why most alarm shops wont put it in cause they could get sued or someone has tried to sue them cause of the customer stupidity...from what i have been told

Yeah, it's a neutral saftey switch thing. Had a few friends get partially crushed by Hummers in the Army when folks would disconnect that switch and forget to reconnect it, you start the vehicle in gear and it lurches forward hitting whatever is in front of them.
That's for an automatic, for a manual, I believe it's a bypass of the clutch switch so it thinks the clutch is in to be started. If you don't leave your car in neutral though, a remote starter for a manual is a bad idea.

yup you have 2 options at/std tranny switch on the box itself. i will be doing this soon it just been cold as hell here the past couple of weeks. but not to worry it will happen
