heres a little article on it...they said almost nothing happens with it on and the filter not submerged.

It doesn't say, however, anything about HP gains and losses with it installed.

Hey Gary why the sudden rise in price? You are bidding against your own self. Either the price is $130 SHIPPING INCLUDED or $155???? Make up your mind and know that it is normal that the price would go down not up if the item is not selling.
