Just checking on any interest on my RD1. Its a 1999 Tiburon that is blue. About 90k on it. Runs great, 5 speed. Clutch was replaced at 84k if I remember correctly. Grabs great. Car drives amazing. It has a moonroof, cruise control, aftermarket speakers all around (sounds great) Alpine head unit. Has a brand new AC Condensor. Fully recharged. I have to look into why the compressor doesnt turn on. Its something electrical and I just havent looked at it. I will get it working though. Ill list as much as I can about it here.

GOOD:
New ball joints on both sides
New stab. links on both sides
Newer CV boots
Good tires
Clean interior
Just replaced wheel bearings a couple thousand miles ago, still in warranty

Needs a little work:
Small door dings, very few for age.
Front bumper is currently black. I replaced it and never painted it. I may get it painted, we'll see.
Passenger side headlight has a small crack in the housing. Works great and you can see perfect.
Radiator support is a little bent. Was in a small accident. Frame is perfect and only thing that shows is the rad. support.
Stock hood is here but it is bent up pretty bad. The cf hood on it is pretty decent. Fits alright and has some good shine to it. Very light

I still have my turbo rd2 and deestibos tib that im going to try to make my daily. otherwise I just kind of want to get into something new for the winter. I drove this car to Atlanta and back from Milwaukee without a single problem Im a mechanic so everything has been maintained like it should be. just flushed cooling system and checked everything over really well. I would trust this car to go anywhere. Should be great in winter to in the snow. Im going to list a lot more about it when I can. Im not in a hurry to sell and actually wouldnt be able to for a little bit yet. Ill probably have to find a dd first. I would really like to get $2800. Even in fair condition blue book list is $3,500. I believe this to be good condition which lists for just over $4,000. I figure the bumper would be a hundred or two to get painted. Everything else is very good. Gets great mileage and is very reliable. I've put a ton of work and money into it to get it perfect like it should be. I will consider trades but Im going to try to get something a little cheaper for the winter anyway to have some money for next semester of school.

 

i second this, its not any worse than mine. Good condition. the only thing i didn't like was the horribly dirty wheels... lol I noticed the CF hood was a lil on the yellow side (just MO) the black front bumper and no foglights or blanks.

as far as my interest.... no lol. im working on my own.

 

Yellow side? And the wheels are actually really clean? And I have fog blanks going in it.

 

how much are you looking for? how close could you get it to nh?

o sorry im dumb didnt see the price.. i dont have that.. theres an 01 down the road from me at a dealership with custom paint and only 80xxx miles and there only asking 2800 bucks.. if the price was lower i would be interested.. not saying your cars not worth it dont take offence i just wasnt expecting you to be asking that much.

 

I just figured Id throw it on here. If I really wanted it gone it would be on ebay or locally listed. Im getting the bumper painted next week and I'd easily get 3000 even on ebay for it. Locally I could probably get 4k. Just looking at other options right now

 

i might be interested i am currently looking for a beater or a better car than the tib depends on what comes first. but that sounds like a good deal. how good are the tires? maybe some time i'll come check it out, maybe this weekend. i'll pm you my number.

 

If you want a good daily driver trade me for my tib, I'll even throw some money in on top . 1998 auto white tibby just passed 100k. for a 98 thats uber low(Ok maybe not uber...). My dads 2001 celica has 130k. Its good for daily driving in traffic because you dont have to pedal it constantly.

Lol not that you would since mine is auto, I'm looking for a 5 spd and can't afford one right now lol.

 

Bumping this. I really could use the money for my next semester of school. I will sell the car as it is right now (non painted bumper, spoiler needs wetsanding and polish, and the bent driver trim piece) for $2600. If I can get the 2800 for it I can get a new trim piece and the bumper painted. It is far to cold to do the spoiler work though. I would trust this car to drive anywhere. I drove it to Atlanta and back without a problem. I got some pics. There were a couple people that showed interest and if I get anyone interested I can do a full write up about the car and maintenance and all that.







Pics were just after I washed it and then it started to snow. I am going to list this car locally for a bit more and see if I can get it out of here. I found an accent Ill probably get for about $200. And Ill drive that until I can get the other Tib running. Let me know guys. It will come with any RD1 stuff I may have if there is any.
