It's not a lot of work, just awkward work. It's much easier with two other people to help hold the door as you're taking it on/off/adjusting. You have to mod the fender by rolling the lip where the fender meets the door. Other than that, it's a direct bolt-on kit. If you go to the original post that Mad_John posted that is my car with this kit on it. That's all I had to do.

You can do it yourself but it's not the wheelwell lip. It's the vertical edge of the fender where it meets the door.
