ok, i know that, but my point IS, they ARE NOT completely black with the ignition off, you can see the numbers clear as day.. they look like normal black gauges with white numbers, without the EL sheet behind them.. theyre not black..

i dont understand why you HAVE to have them look black when theyre off black? when your driving u need to see em anyway...

but the MAXTRIM arent like the supervision at all.. just to clear things up.. they just look like dark faced gauges with WHITE numbering during the day, and at night, they light up bright white..

From what I'veseen of these, when they are INSTALLED, they use current to black out the numbers totally when OFF. When you start the car, the numbers show.

That's what I've been told.

Looking at the video, it shows the gauges COMPLETELY black, then white when the car is actually started.

well they arent completely black.. current wont be running through the EL sheet to make the numbers black.. the numbers are seperate, on the face..

that video is at night, or at dusk, so of course you wouldnt be able to see the numbers with the car off..

im just letting people know, that they arent and no way possible to be ALL black..

well, it could.

relay that passes power to them when it doesnt have the coil activated. its easy actually. wink1.gif

but it doesnt. you generally dont want things setup so they have to draw current with the car off. also, i dont think opposite EL exists...lol

and it wouldnt work, even if thats how the current worked.. cuz the gauges faces have white numbers... and what light/current can you put through to change white to black.. want me to just take a pic, and prove my point lol..

and do the people who wanted these still want them or what?
