My baby has to go 02.gif

A little info on it:

2001 5 speed with alsmot 124,000 miles on it, one owner. I've commuted on the highway 60 miles a day for 8 years with it.
Engine and transmission were replaced by Hyundai around 40,000 miles. No, there wasn't a problem....there was a ticking sound coming from the car, and rather than have a skilled technician look for it, they threw parts at the car. Whatever it was, it was in the clutch or tranny because it stopped when they replaced that. I may or may not still have the paperwork regarding this, but I do believe it's documented somehwere on these forums when I was complaining about Hyundai's crappy service dept.

Paint is in good shape. No fading or door dings. It's been garage kept all it's life. Other than a little sand pitting near the front, the paint and body look great! Much better than most 8 years old cars I know.

Interior is in excellent shape with little to no signs of wear. I can probably count on one hand how many times someone has ridden in the passenger seat and back seats.
Leather on the drivers side is starting to get those minor surface cracks near the bolster. That's all I can find wrong.

Tires are newish Toyos. I'd say 80 percent tread life left.
Spare has bever been used.
Though I probably don't have service records, I have maintained it rather well, with timely oil and fluid changes.

It has some extras:

K&N filter
35% window tint, great shape
Alpine security system with keyless entry (installed by car toys)
Sony MP3 deck with remotes and aux input
Sony 10 disk MP3 changer
Audiobahn amp under drivers seat
Infinity sub in trunk (the sound system sounds ok, nothing to do a backflip over)
Air horns

It also has a couple of flaws:

The front windshield has about a 10 inch tall vertical crack on the passenger side. Don't know how it happened. I was driving to work and noticed it. I'm assuming it was a rock.
The drivers side power window assembly needs replaced, and the window is stuck in the DOWN position. Estimate from Hyundai was $305.00 including labor.
Recirc button won't stay pushed in. I usually push it in, then wedge a penny in between it and the trim. LOL!
There's a hole drilled on the top of the dash, near the A-Pillar. I ran my Sirius satellite radio cables through it. I will include the radio and antenna if you want it.
Sometimes the power window buttons stick when rolling down a window. Maybe they just need cleaned or lubed?

It has been a great car, with no problems. I just bought a new Honda Accord coupe and now have 5 cars. I need to get rid of my two Hyundais.
Kelley Blue Book for this car in FAIR condition is $3100.00, GOOD condition is $3600.00. Good condition states that:

Free of any major defects.
Clean title history, the paints, body, and interior have only minor (if any) blemishes, and there are no major mechanical problems.
Little or no rust on this vehicle.
Tires match and have substantial tread wear left.
A "good" vehicle will need some reconditioning to be sold at retail.

I believe my car falls somewhere between good and fair, more towards the good side. Other than the windshield and window, I'd say there are no major flaws. Free and clear title.

I am asking for $3000.00, firm. If you want to offer less feel free, but don't lowball.....and CASH talks. I'm not that desparate to get rid of it.

I have pictures available upon request, though there's not anything you can really see. It looks like a black Tiburon with tinted windows. I'm at work now and don't have the pics with me.

Call Brendan at 503.851.8496 if interested. Leave a message and I'll call you back when I'm on break.

Yeah man, it was a tough decision to make. I really don't want to do it, but I have 5 cars right now....and I want to get my new car in the garage.
I've owned a lot of cars, and I've never had the attachment I've had with this car.

Mods, please lock and/or delete.

Same goes for my acct, I haven't been here for a couple years, and I won't be back. I suck at Internet forums.
Thanks goes out to all those who helped 8 years ago when I first bought my Tib.
