<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (majiktib @ Jan 15 2007, 09:57 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>the radiator mount's not gonna be possible. Looks as if he hit a pole dead-center and it smashed the radiator and fans into the exhaust manifold.

I'll TRY to get the timing belt cover. I actually already removed the bolts trying to get to it, but decided it wasn't worth it. Hard to get the back bolts because of everything being smashed in. I wanted to grab the alternator also but again, couldn't get to the bolts.</div>

I know it was in a front end accident, but take a look at the mounts anyways. They are solid parts, and pretty tough, the other metal around them may be bent up. Just let me know mang, they are held on by one bolt, 12MM I think. Maybe 10.

Also, I'd love to get one of those MAF's for some experimentation I have in mind. Let me know.

Also, the center console, is the cover/hinge in good shape? I broke mine a few months ago.

Yup, pretty sure the center console cover was in good shape. Interior was good all around, only 46,000 miles on the car I think.

And as far as the mounts... got a picture? I think I was thinking of something totally different...

I'll try to take pictures of the stuff I have tonight.

I need that cover then if you can get it for me.

The mounts, go pop your hood and look on the top edge of your radiator. See the 2 metal brackets that hold it in place? They have rubber centers. That's what I need, from the passenger side.

oh.. .that's all you need? The piece that holds that little pole in place? I thought it was something at the bottom. I'll check on that. Is the right and left identical? I'll also check other Hyundai's to see if there's one the same size (if the Tiburon's damaged). I think mine actually has a crack in it, but still functions fine.

LOL

They aren't identical, I'm anal, so I need the passenger one. I'll show you why later.
The GK's and Elantras use the same mounts and radiator.

Also, if yours is cracked or shrunk and doesn't hold the radiator from rattling, there's an easy fix for it. I'll do a DIY for that later.

LQTM... I know, I should read more closely. I have been busy lately trying to get stuff moved into the house and putting up curtains and stuff for privacy, so I've only been reading the forums while at work, or posting late at night before going to bed.

I'll get my list prepared and hope to hit the junkyard Thursday night. Some of you may receive a phone call around 5:30 CST (6:30EST, 3:30PST)

Doh. Nope. I just found a leak in my radiator though. It finally started leaking after years of good service after my terrible accident. Amazing how the radiator survived. haha.

So I need a new one. Figured I might as well replace the driver's side fan while I'm at it, since it has some cracks.
