Recently, my dad was laidoff for 2-3 months and so now things are really tight. So, I need to sell this.

I'm asking for $100 + shipping from 89123. I can't/won't ship to Canada. I have only had 1 out of 5 attempts to ship there be positive and had negative results most of the time with items being shipped to me from there. I'm convinced Canada Post just doesn't like me. So, I'm sticking to the US only so it can be tracked and confirmed. I bought it for $100 shipped but sorry every penny counts right now.

This is from his for sale thread. Lol, it still looks the same. I haven't installed it yet so it's ready to ship when the money clears to my bank account from paypal.

If you do get this can you take some caliper measurements of the bushing. I asked ARK directly and they didnt give a stright answer and i remember reading that KJB said that they would be able to make these.

ask moo if he can get a set of calipers. if he can get me measurements, i can get you one made for nill to nothing. more on the nothing side.

 

the way those little bushings seat are a lil more complicated to make than you would think. from what i could tell, making a replica that fit in the same way would be out of the question. although, you could probably make something that will at least work.

the bushing is rounded out inside, so it swivels, yet snaps on to the end of the shifter.

machining the inside would be the PITA part, and they would have to be made from nylon or delrin, or something, cuz steel or alum. wouldn't work.

 

It doesn't need to snap on, and it would be simple as hell to make for someone with the capabilities. As long as the OD matched the shifter linkage and the ID matched the base of the shifter, then all you need is a lip to keep it from falling through the hole.

 

then how is it supposed to swivel when you move the shifter all around it the ID of the bushing is the same as the outside of the 'ball'.

i thought of the lip idea also, but rounding out the inside of the bushing would be the fun part.
